Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup raw sugar
- ¾ cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 125g butter (no added salt)
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon bi carb soda
- 2 tablespoons boiling water
Grandma's Original Recipe
Passed down through the generations, this delicious ANZAC Biscuit recipe comes from one our beloved Grandmothers who was a nurse and member with the WAAF in World War II. Grandmas always have the best recipes and she would love to bake these each year in memory of the ANZAC spirit.
Step 1
Pre-heat your fan forced oven to 170°C.
Step 2
Mix rolled oats, raw sugar, desiccated coconut and self raising flour.
Step 3
Melt butter.
Step 4
Combine golden syrup and melted butter.
Step 5
Mix bi carb soda with boiling water and add the butter and syrup mixture.
Step 6
Using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula, combine liquid and dry ingredients.
Step 7
Place a sheet of baking paper on a cookie tray.
Step 8
Hand roll biscuits and flatten slightly on cookie tray.
Step 9
Cook for 16-20 minutes until golden.
